Succinctly Yours for May 16
Thanks go out to Grandma of Grandma's Goulash who is sponsoring this fun little writing exercise.
We are to use the photo as inspiration for a story of 140 characters OR 140 words. It doesn’t have to be exactly 140, but it can't go over.
If we want more challenge then we can use the word of the week in our stories. But, this is optional.
Word of the Week – tempt
She tried to tempt him with a hot toddy, but the lure of the lens and what lay beyond were too great. She envied his maritime mistress.

Excellent micro, Wendy. You've captured the picture perfectly. Also, your alliteration throughout is terrific. Nice!
Excellent! A hot toddy would be very tempting, you'd think . . .
Good one! Very well written Wendy.
Well done, Wendy. So much in so few words.

I really like this one. Although you caught the same sense that many of us did through narrative, not dialogue, it really sings.
This not only tells a story, but does so in a smoothly flowing manner. Great work here.
This microfiction is perfect. Like the rhythm of the words too
I love "maritime mistress." Nice take this week!
I like this, J.G. It reminds me of the frustrated mate of an avid blogger. The blogger has blogging friends scattered around the world.
..
I do understand "the lure of the lens", and know that a "maritime mistress" is a difficult one with which to compete!
Great job on this prompt...:)
Oh, these obsessive hobbyists! This man needs some therapy. I like your take.
